Merry Christmas...and catching up!

What a crazy time of year it is!  I've been so busy, blogging has taken a back seat to everything else it seems. I've been planning to post, but then I keep running out of time!  It's almost Christmas, and today is my first day of Christmas break, so I was up bright and early to get things done...Christmas cards, cooking and baking for our holiday celebrations, a little treadmill workout, and wrapping is all finished!  So now it's time to catch up!

I was going to do a 7 on Sunday post yesterday, but as usual, I'm a day late, and a dollar short!  Here's my belated 7 on Sunday:

1.  1000 miles in 2013!  Yes, that's right, I covered over 1000 miles in 2013!  2012 was my first full year of running, and I almost hit 500 miles, but I was just a bit short.  So then and there, I made a goal of 1000 miles in 2013.  I was so excited to make this goal!

2.  Fall 5 and 10 Race Medal:  I received my medal for the virtual 5 and 10 fall race series sponsored by Mommy Run Fast.  It's such a nice medal, and I loved this series to keep me accountable through the fall.

3.  #runner Shirt Arrived:  If you remember from this post, I was so lucky to win a Pavement Runner shirt in a giveaway by Road Runner Girl.  The shirt arrived, and I love it!  Thanks so much to Road Runner Girl and Pavement Runner for an awesome giveaway!

4.  Foot Pain:  I've been suffering from some pain in my right foot, especially after my last few long runs the past three weeks.  I'm not sure if it could be from my shoes (I've been switching between my old faithful Ghost 5's and my Saucony Ride's with the special inserts) or because I've been running so much on the treadmill the last month or so (or it could be something else entirely).  I've been icing and resting and hoping that race day goes well!

5.  Food & My Weight:  No progress here.  I'm holding my own.  But I have been taking an online course hosted by my health insurance company to help with my emotional eating issues.  I know that making a ton of progress over the holidays is highly unlikely, but I'm still watching what I eat.  I do know I don't want to "diet" anymore, but I do want to end my unhealthy relationship with food.

6.  I'm Thankful!:  I just wanted to say how thankful I am to those of you who read my crazy posts and/or comment and encourage me on my journey.  I'm grateful for the blogging friends I've made!  Thank you!!

7.  Biggest Loser Half Marathon:  I'm less than a week away from my fifth half marathon - the Biggest Loser Half in Panama City.  I probably won't be blogging too much while I'm away, but please follow me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to see how everything goes on race day!  I'll be sure to post recaps when I get back.

That's it!  I hope all of you have a very merry and blessed Christmas!  Enjoy every moment with your friends and family!
